Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a background in psychology or education?
Not at all. The course is suitable for anyone with a passion for mindfulness, including complete beginners and experienced practitioners.
Can I teach mindfulness after completing this diploma?
Yes. This programme equips you with the skills, confidence and certification to teach in community settings, privately, schools, health-care systems or organisational settings. You can also choose to do 1:1 Mindfulness Coaching
What have previous graduates done after the course?
Lots of graduates have given up their previous careers and are currently running their mindfulness classes on a full-time basis. Others run their mindfulness business on a part-time basis.
I’m working full-time and have a busy life, will I have enough time to do the course properly?
Yes. In the decade of running this course no student has ever had to withdraw from the course because of not having enough time.
I’m unable to make one of the course weekends, does this mean I can’t do the course?
We understand that significant life events both planned and unexpected are a natural part of life. Our course director supports each student individually, on a case-by-case basis.
Are there exams?
No. It is all continual assessment including knowledge consolidation questions, reflective learning, experiential teaching practice, peer discussion groups and audio submissions of mediation delivery.
I was no good at school, I’m afraid I won’t be able for the course?
This is entirely different. While there is theory on the course a fundamental part of being an authentic mindfulness teacher is your own presence, which comes through your dedicated mindfulness practices.
Is this diploma accredited?
There is no statutory accreditation body, nor global authority for Mindfulness. However, this programme is internationally recognised, with graduates successfully teaching in Ireland, UK, Europe, USA, the Middle East, and Australia. It meets the standards of leading teacher training programmes in structure, rigour, and student support.
